It would probably crack the glass and twist the hands on the scale of political correctness now, but I recall a time only recently gone when the following note could be filed under: Damsel in Distress.
Well, if this isn’t a moment when PC should get the cold shoulder I don’t know when.
I found the following call for help from a lady from Listowel in my message box today. She’s in a bit of a pickle at the moment and needs a helping hand for the next six weeks.
Working in Castleisland – Living in Listowel
“I’m working in Castleisland and living in Listowel. I’m wondering could you help me. I have broken my wrist so can’t drive for six weeks and therefore need a lift either from Listowel to Castleisland or Castleisland to Tralee where I can then get a bus to Listowel. My working hours are from 9am to 5pm.
If anyone could help me over this brief period of time I would be most grateful,” – Eithna. If you can help please contact: 087 32 87 976
