Knocknagoshel GAA Club Lotto Draw Results

Knocknagoshel GAA Club held it’s monthly lotto draw in O’Connor’s Bar on Saturday night. The numbers drawn were 1, 2, 6 and 13. There was no winner of the jackpot of €5,800. The five lucky dips of €30 each were won by Noreen Thompson, Knocknagoshel Village;  Sophia Brosnan, Meenganaire;  Larry Brosnan, Knocknagoshel West; Bridie O’Sullivan, Killarney Road, Abbeyfeale and Matt Kelly, New York.

The next draw will be held in Eddie Walsh’s Bar on Saturday April 1st at 10p.m. for a jackpot of €5,900. Tickets are available from players, officers, local bars, club sellers, The Family Shop and Leahy’s Post Office. Thank you for your continued support.

Fixtures and Results

Knock/Brosna minors played St Pat’s Blennerville in Brosna on Saturday at 4p.m. in the county minor league. This was their first game of the season and a number of players were making their debut at this level. After an exciting contest it finished honours even on a score of Knock/Brosna 2-12 to St. Pat’s 3-9.

The team was Aaron Fay, Brosna; Aiden Ward, Kieran Ward, Knocknagoshel; Dara Nash, Brosna; Cillian O’Connor, Matthew Keane, John Walsh, Knocknagoshel; Patrick Moriarty, Brosna; Dylan Curtin, Knocknagoshel; Danny Moriarty, Brosna; John Bell, Knocknagoshel; Paul Walsh and Jack McAuliffe, Brosna.

Their next game is against St. Michael’s/Foilmore and will be played in Brosna on Saturday March 11th at 4p.m.

Rain Hits Game for Knocknagoshel Seniors

Knocknagoshel seniors could not play Duagh on Sunday due to the heavy rain leaving the surface of the field unplayable.

This match will be rescheduled at a later date. Knocknagoshel host Valentia in the first round of the county league on Sunday March 12th at 2p.m. We are asking our followers to come along and support the team as they begin their league campaign.

Knocknagoshel GAA Registration

Knocknagoshel GAA will hold an under age registration session on Sunday, March 12th between 12 noon and 1pm at the football field. Registration fees are €20 per child or €30 per family.

Knocknagoshel Clothes Collection

Knocknagoshel GAA Club is holding a clothes collection to help raise funds for the club. Bags can be left by the wall inside the entrance gates of the football field. All types of clothes are accepted including: shoes, handbags, curtains & towels. All bags must be dropped off prior to March 17th.

Membership Fees Due

Anyone interested in becoming a member of Knocknagoshel GAA club for 2017 are reminded that all members have to be registered before the end of March. Please contact registrar, Jack O’Connell on 086 38 58 096 asap.

Membership can also be paid online at the Knocknagoshel GAA Club Website. Benefits of membership are players are insured to play, members can use the track at the field and members can seek tickets from the club for Kerry games. It’s a way to support the club also.

Coaching Course 2017

Award 1 Youth Coaching Course will be held on Monday, March 13th. at 7pm and Saturday, March 18th at 10am in St. Michael’s College, Listowel.
