OBrennan National School, Kielduff is preparing for its big fundraising event of the year – a raffle!

But not just any old raffle – by purchasing a ticket for €10, your name will be entered into a draw, the first prize of which is the value of a freshly calved heifer to the minimum value of €1,400.

Fantastic Prizes

That is not all, there’s a number of other fantastic prizes up for grabs: a two-night, midweek break at Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa, kindly sponsored by Ballygarry House Hotel & Spa; €250 cash and two Coldplay tickets, as well as other great spot prizes.

It’s all in aid of developing the play area in the school.

Over the years the usual fundraising events have been undertaken, tried and tested but this year it was decided to try something new.

Generosity of Dairy Farmers

The animal was donated, thanks to the kindness and generosity of a number of dairy farmer families associated with the school, and so the fundraising efforts began.

There is a great buzz around the school and the children are looking forward to going to the mart at Gortatlea on Tuesday, March 28th. when the draw will take place.

The school is calling on past pupils, relatives and friends of pupils attending the school and indeed anyone interested in being in with a chance to win to get in contact with the school at the number below and get involved.

Tickets on Sale

Tickets are also on sale through local businesses. There are three weeks left.

The success of the fundraiser is dependent on people supporting and getting behind it.
