Senior Men Lose to Ballydonoghue

Desmonds senior men’s team travelled to play Ballydonoghue in Round 3 of the North Kerry League on Sunday.

The weather conditions for this game were very bad for football. A strong wind and heavy rain did not help both sets of players on the day.

Both teams exchanged points in the 1st half which left the score at half time at 0-4 each.

Desmonds were missing players through injury and this was to see them lose this game on the score 3-7 to 0-9.

A late goal by Ballydonoghue came just as Desmonds were making a late surge to win their third game in a row in this year’s league.

The team and scorers were: Steven Bartlett, Eodhan Browne, David Lynch, Gearoid Leonard, Barry Lynch 0-1; Brian Leonard, Maurice Hickey 0-1; Maurice O’Connell, 0-1; Patrick White, Seán Lynch, Marc O’Connor, Micheál Walsh, 0-1; Graham O’Connor 0-1; Thomás Hickey 0-3; Colm Murphy, 0-1.
