The death has occurred of Michael O’Connor, Killegane, Castleisland, Co. Kerry and late of Lisheen, Firies.

June 18th 2017.

Peacefully after a short illness at University Hospital Kerry.

Sadly missed by his wife Mary, son Maurice, daughter Elaine, sister Joan, brothers: Tom, Brendan, Moss and Connie; sister-in-law Breda, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May he rest in Peace.

Michael (71) was a regular participant in the many daily and spontaneous discussion panels at Bob Finn’s Corner with the likes of the late Tom Wren and Jerh ‘The Captain’ Sugrue.

A quiet and gentle man, Michael was an avid card player and was one of John Shanahan’s regulars in the often talked about 31 sessions there.

May God be good to him.

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Tangney’s Funeral Home, Castleisland on Tuesday evening from 5pm to 7pm.Followed by removal to Castleisland Parish Church. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am.

Burial afterwards in St. John’s Cemetery, Castleisland. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Palliative Care Unit, University Hospital Kerry.
