Local Link Kerry has announced its new rural transport initiative with the Kids Go Free Campaign from August 14th to 27th.

Local Link is the National brand for Public Transport services in local and rural areas of Ireland.  There are 17 Local Link offices or transport co-ordination units nationally that operate as agents of the National Transport Authority.

Local Link Kerry (LLK)  co-ordinates and manages the delivery of safe, secure and reliable bus transport services throughout Kerry.

131,000 passengers in 2016

The company has over 140 bus services operating in the county every week and carried over 131,000 passengers in 2016.

It delivers a combination of scheduled public and community transport services as well as contracted bus services for a range of agencies and organisations.

All services are provided by private bus operators as LLK do not own the fleet.

The new Kids Go Free Campaign allows all children and young adults up to 19 years of age to travel free of charge on all scheduled Local Link Services.

Two Week Campaign

It will run for two weeks from August 14th to 27th August and just before the children go back to school

The campaign is an opportunity to promote the existing bus services in communities all over Kerry and the target audience for this campaign includes: children and young people up to 19 years of age. Children under the age of three will go free – as is normal on this service.

A Day with a Difference

The campaign is also aimed at parents, grandparents, guardians, aunties, uncles, siblings, baby-sitters and carers of children – who would like to take them out for a day with a difference.

The Scartaglin based company also invites suggestions / ideas in relation to developing a Transport Service where there are unmet needs. You can respond to this invitation through the company contact details below.
