Card Players Turn Up Trumps for Charities

Five charities received €1,000 each from the card players at the River Island Hotel, Castleisland on Sunday night.

The funds are raised through the 31 game held every Sunday night at the hotel. The recipient charities were: Bru Columbanus; Castleisland Day Care Centre; North Kerry Alzheimer’s; Kingdom Carers and Our Lady of the Angels.

Results of Sunday Night’s Games at The River Island Hotel

The following are the results of the card game held in The River Island Hotel on Sunday night last.

1st: Mary McGaley and Johnny O Connell; 2nd: Pat and Dom O’Donnell, Carmel Daly and Gerard Walsh. Ladies: Maureen Fitzgerald and Kathleen McCarthy, Mary Bradley and Noreen Fleming, Kathleen Herlihy and Eileen Breen. Gents: Paul and Joe Geaney.

Mixed: Maria O’Connor and Dan McCarthy, Hannah Hickey and Liam Moriarty, Dolly McAuliffe and Mike.

Spots: Dick Collins and Neily Shanahan, Eileen and John O Connell, Bridget Gray and Noel Murphy. Cards continue every Sunday night at 9pm sharp.
