GAA Jackpot Climbs to €6,300 in The Mall

No Lotto Jackpot Winner in The Mall

The lotto draw for a jackpot of €6,300 was held on Saturday night last in Walsh’s Bar.

The numbers drawn were: 6, 21, 23 and 24. There was no winner of the jackpot. The five lucky dips of €30 each drawn went to: Noelle Ahern, Abbeyfeale; John Joe Collins, Baranarig; Luke Herlihy, Knockane; Noel Condon, Templeglantine and Joe McAuliffe, Knocknagoshel.

The next draw will be for a jackpot of €6,400 and will be held in The Village Inn on Saturday, September 3rd.

Tickets are available from Kieran’s XL; Leahy’s Post Office; the local bars and usual sellers.

Results and Fixtures

Seniors Lose to Churchill: Knocknagoshel seniors lost to Churchill on Saturday last. The team will have a break for the next few weeks.

Minors in Pulsating Draw

Following a pulsating 5-14 a piece draw with the same opposition Knock/Brosna minors will play Ballydonoghue in a play off in the North Kerry Minor league next week. Time and date are to be confirmed.

U-21s to Play Listowel/Clounmacon

Knock/Brosna will play Listowel/Clounmacon in the quarter final of this year’s North Kerry Championship in Duagh on Friday evening at 7pm.

U-16s defeat Glenflesk

Knock/Brosna/Duagh beat Glenflesk on Wednesday 9th in the County League Semi Final on a score line of 5-17 to 3-08.

U-14s defeat Currow

Knock/Brosna/Duagh beat Currow in the District League with a score line of 5.17 to 5.16. Next match will be on this Friday 18th August at 7.30pm against Scart/Cordal and played in Cordal.

Great Turn-out for Football Blitz

Simon Keane Memorial U-8 and U-10 Football Blitz took place on Sunday with a great turn out on the day with teams from Cordal, Duagh, Brosna and Knocknagoshel taking part. Cordal U-10s won the Simon Keane Tournament beating Knocknagoshel in the Final. Thanks to everyone who took part and helped out on the day.

All Star Mr. and Mrs.

All Star Mr And Mrs took place in Moynihan’s Bar Headleysbridge on Friday night with Donal and Phil Brosnan winning the overall prize on the night.
