A call is going out for tractors and roadworthy, vintage cars and motorbikes of all kinds to take part in an annual run for charity.
The sixth annual Paudie Fitzmaurice Memorial Tractor and Vintage Run will be held on Sunday, September 10th 2017.

The Black Banks

The cavalcade will set out starting at Cordal GAA Club grounds at 1pm. It will travel on to Brosna out by the Black Banks and to Ahane Cross before returning through Feale’s Bridge, Headley’s Bridge and Loughfouder before passing through Castleisland to finish where it started.

There will be refreshments served at Hughes’s Bar, Cordal afterwards.

The proceeds of the event will support the Palliative Care Unit in University Hospital Kerry and the Ray of Sunshine Foundation mission of four locals.

Travel to Kenya

Hannah Curtin, Martina O’Mahony, Charlie Farrelly and Willie Reidy will travel to Kenya in February 2018 to help construct and provide accommodation for abused children there.

On the day of the run, registrations will be conducted from 11-30am and there will be refreshments available before and after the event.

A ‘Monster Raffle’ will be held for a variety of high quality prizes including holidays. Tickets for this will be €2 each and three for a fiver.

The post run celebrations will include a free barbecue for entrants. The fee per vehicle is €20 and owners must have them fully taxed and insured before being allowed to take part.

The committee has also set up a funding page and it can be accessed through the link here: https://www.gofundme.com/the-paudie-fitzmaurice-tractor-run?donorname=Ann+Marie+Myers
