U-11 Team Captures East Kerry League Title

In the week gone by our U-11 team and mentors completed their East Kerry League campaign with two games.

On Wednesday 22nd August, Currow welcomed Scartaglen and in a good sporting contest Currow proved to have the upper hand on their near neighbours and won on a score line of Currow 5-20 to Scartaglen’s 2-11.

Our last game in the competition took place on Sunday 26th August away to Gneeveguilla. Our team (photograph above) proved to be too strong for Gneeveguilla on the day and were comprehensive winners.

Well done to the team and their mentors: Tim Healy, Pat Brosnan and Noel Crowley on winning the East Kerry League.

U-16s in East Kerry Championships

Our U-16 team will participate in the East Kerry Championship and are due to play Castleisland Desmonds in the Castleisland District League B Final in the coming weeks. Keep a look out for this fixtures in the weeks ahead.

U-13s Host Kilgarvan/Tousist/Templenoe

On Monday 20th August, Currow U-13 team hosted Kilgarvan/Tousist/Templenoe in the East Kerry League. Unfortunately the Kenmare District side proved to be too strong for an under strength Currow side and were comprehensive winners.

Their next game in the competition will take place on Monday 3rd September away to Gneeveguilla at 7pm.

U-10s Involved in Paddy O Leary Blitz

Well done to all our players and mentors who participated in the Paddy O’Leary Memorial Blitz on Saturday last 25th August.
