Irish Legends Storytelling and Puppetry Workshop

Castleisland Library will host a storytelling workshop on Saturday 15th of June from 11am to 12.15 pm for children aged eight to 12.

It will consist of a short retelling of The Salmon of Knowledge and Setanta.

The children will be shown how to make their own salmon by using paper weaving techniques.

They will also learn how to make a hand puppet that catches a sliother in its mouth.

“This workshop is part of Cruinniu na nÓg, a one-day national celebration of all things cultural and creative for the very young up to teenagers,” said Librarian, Eileen Murphy.
