Active in Local Development

There was a time in his life when the late Ted Kennelly played an active part in any and all development worthy of the name in Castleisland.

He was involved in the setting up and running of the local Credit Union and of the Castleisland Development Association.

He also played a leading role in getting the archaeological survey of the Castleisland area underway and completed.

He managed all this involvement while rearing their eight children with his wife Marion and running a busy and successful pharmacy on Main Street here.

Courteous, obliging and always there, day or night when someone needed help, the late Ted Kennelly will be remembered as one of the luminaries in a golden age of business in Castleisland. May God be good to him.
