Off the Peg: Straight from the Fashion Capital of Kerry: Gerdie Murphy will be in Croke Park tomorrow in this rig-out. Come on The Kingdom !

The Dubs will be raging favourites as they chase the five-in-a-row.

Kerry will remember 1955 when Dublin were well beaten in the semi-final much to the surprise of the ‘experts and who will ever forget 1975 when Mick O’Dwyer’s ‘babes’ crushed the All Ireland champions and repeated the dose in 1978.

No game of football is a foregone conclusion so, who dares to follow my example here and let’s get behind and inside the green and gold.

Results of the Week

Desmonds Juniors qualified for their second final this year.. The B team defeated Listowel in the semi-final of the North Kerry Intermediate Championship by 6-16 to 5-9.

This was, as the score suggests, a highly entertaining game played in good conditions in Knocknagoshel.

The forwards, lead by Tommy Walsh, who scored 1-11, brought their shooting boots with them.  However, the concession of five goals will give the management team of Nelius Lyons, Jim O Connor and Willie Dom O’Connor some food for thought.

No date or venue has been fixed for the final.

Neither has a date been fixed for the County league final v Churchill.
