Management and staff at Divanes Castleisland are delighted to announce that J.J. Hanrahan has become its new Brand Ambassador for the season ahead.
J.J. dropped in to the Stanley Divane Pavilion on Castleisland’s Killarney Road and collected his new Tiguan R Line just afternoon today.
Most Active Sponsors
Simultaneously, Divanes Volkswagen, one of the Kerry’s most active sponsors of local sporting teams, announced its partnership with the Munster out-half and Currow native.
J.J. Hanrahan began playing rugby with Castleisland RFC at the age of just seven and he played in all the underage club teams from there on. He also played soccer for Castleisland and Gaelic Football for Currow.
Pro14 and European Cup Rugby
He currently plays for Munster in the Pro14 and European Rugby Champions Cup.
As Divanes Castleisland latest ambassador, J.J. Hanrahan joins the team in recognition of the strength of the Volkswagen Brand together with Divanes in the locality.
Role Filled by Gaelic Managers
Traditionally the ‘Brand Ambassador’ role was filled by Gaelic Football managers and men of the calibre of the late Páidí Ó Sé, Jack O’Connor and Eamonn Fitzmaurice have all been presented with the keys to the brand favourites of the day.
J.J., about whom former international, Tony Ward raved in an RTÉ Radio One match review during the U-20 IRB Junior World Championship in South Africa in 2012, is the first professional rugby player to join the brand.
As a neighbour and a highly regarded sportsman, it’s a move very much welcomed by Divanes Castleisland.
Official Partner to the IRFU
“As Volkswagen is the official car partner to the IRFU, it’s great to further that relationship by having J.J. on board as a brand ambassador for Divanes,” said a company spokesman at the handing over ceremony today.
Commenting on the partnership, J.J. Hanrahan said: he is delighted to join with Divanes Castleisland as brand ambassador for the coming season.
Powerful and Well Built
“I’ve just taken delivery of my new Tiguan R Line which is simply a joy to drive and a beautiful car. It’s powerful and well built, it is the perfect car for me and I look forward to my role at Divanes for the coming season and meeting with the customers at future events,” said JJ.
