Cordal GAA Club welcomed U-12 football teams from clubs including: Ballinorig, Co Cork; St Peters Rockchapel, Co Cork; Adare, Co. Limerick; Legion Killarney and Scartaglen to take part in a tournament dedicated to the memory of the late Jimmy Roche on Saturday, October 5th. 2019.

Jimmy’s Many Club Roles

Jimmy Roche served Cordal GAA Club in many roles as a player, team manager and administrator.

A plaque was unveiled to his memory and the latest addition to the club facilities, a juvenile pitch was opened and named in his honour.

Congratulations to Cordal GAA Club’s U-12 team which continued its successful year in winning the Jimmy Roche Memorial Cup in its inaugural year,” said spokesman, Danny Kelliher.

Thanks to all the players and mentors from the clubs mentioned, who travelled to support our day – it is much appreciated.

We thank to Fr. Sean Horgan, to the local elected representatives, members of the Kerry County GAA Board and the East Kerry Board who came to support us on the day.
