College Road Final Phase Work from October 29th to November 2nd

Cllr. Bobby O’Connell relayed news from Kerry County Council of the next phase of the rehabilitation of College Road in the wake of the Irish Water pipe replacement works there during the summer and early autumn.

Final Phase of Work

“The second and final phase of works on the 2019 restoration improvement project at College Road, Castleisland is scheduled to be carried out during the school mid-term break from Tuesday 29th October to Saturday 2nd November,”  according to Castleisland Area Engineer, Brendan Mulhern.

Road wiil be Closed

“As with the previous phase of the works which was carried out during the school summer holidays and there will be a road closure between the junction with Upper Main Street and the Boys National School. A local diversion via the N21 will be signposted and Gardaí will be notified.

Radio Adverts and Leaflet Drops

“Radio advertisements on Radio Kerry will commence on Friday 25th October. Both leaflet drops and parking permits will be provided to residents on the Friday 25th October.

“Local access will be provided to residents living between St. Patrick’s Secondary School and the junction with Upper Main Street during the works,” said Mr. Mulhern.
