St. Mary’s Basketball Club has announced that €7,712. has been handed over to the Castleisland fundraising branch of the Kerry Hospice Foundation.
The funds are the proceeds of the recent Hoops 4 Hospice fundraising event which the club held in memory of the late Joanne Walmsley.
Huge Numbers Attended
“The club would like to thank everyone who helped out on the day of the event, all the coaches and players, visiting teams, those who baked and donated food items and the huge numbers of people who attended,” said PRO, Liz Galwey,
Donations Poured In
“It would be impossible to mention everyone individually.
“Donations were accepted on the day and poured in for sometime afterwards from those who could not make it on the day and also from clubs around the county,” Liz said.
