Castleisland Camera Club Feature No.12 – Anne Bergin

In the 12th and penultimate feature of the work of the members of Castleisland Camera Club we publish photographs by Anne Bergin.

Anne joined Castleisland Camera Club in October 2017.

Her story and her club history she laid out in the following:

“My name is Anne Bergin and I work as an administrative officer with the HSE in the pathology lab at University Hospital Kerry.

I joined the Castleisland Camera Club at the very beginning, because I love the outdoors.

I have made a lot of new friends since taking up photography as a pastime.

I originally joined the club in order to learn how to use a camera properly and so that I could get away from using the camera in ‘Auto’ mode.

I try to go on as many outings as possible as I find that sometimes we learn a lot from each other when we are actually out and about taking photographs.

I appreciate all the help that I get from the other members of the club, who are a great bunch.

I do a lot of travelling so most of my photos would be of places, scenery and nature, rather than people.

I have got to the stage now that I nearly have the camera with me at all times as you never know when you might need it.

I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in photography to come along and join us for a bit of craic as it is a fantastic hobby.

Photographers in Order

The photographers were featured in the order in which they sent in their images and cupla focal for inclusion here. And now we’ll have Fiona Hickey’s contribution tomorrow morning.

And then it’s time for the club’s annual exhibition and sale of work here in Castleisland tomorrow night Saturday, November 30th at the Ivy Leaf Art Centre from 8pm and the doors will open at 7pm.
