Katie O’Connor, a Transition Year student at Castleisland Community College, had her work selected as the winner of the Kerry ETB Christmas Card Competition.
The card is being distributed across the country as Kerry ETB’s official Christmas card.
Katie won herself a Samsung Galaxy tablet for first prize.
Rock ‘n’ Roll Classic Grease
Transition Year students performed the classic Rock and Roll musical, Grease in the run up to Christmas in the Ivy Leaf Art Centre.
“It was a spectacular performance as evidenced by the standing ovation received at the end of the night,” said a spokesperson for the team.
“Adults laughed and sang along to the tracks and for many it was a thoroughly enjoyable trip down memory lane.
“Transition Year students transformed themselves into the T-Birds and Pink Ladies and they had the moves and groves to go with the superb costumes and props. Well done to all involved,” said the proud spokesperson.
