Cathaoirleach of the Castleisland and Corca Dhuibhne Municipal District, Cllr. Breandán Fitzgerald led his local representatives in a heretofore unheard of blast of political ecumenism in an announcement of great and local importance.

Cllr. Fitzgerald, in conjunction with all members of the eight strong municipal district: Cllr. Charlie Farrelly, Cllr. Bobby O’Connell, Cllr Michael O’Shea , Cllr. Seamus Cosaí Fitzgearld, Cllr. Fionán Fitzgerald and Cllr Jackie Healy Rae, welcomed the allocation of funding of over €60,000 to community groups and organisations from the 2020 Kerry County Council Community Support Fund.
Wellbeing of the County
“Kerry County Council appreciates the valuable contribution that communities make to the overall well-being of the county and its citizens.
“In recognition of this, Kerry County Council has developed the Community Support Fund which provides flexible financial support to community groups and local organisations.
“This fund is facilitated through the local property tax, through the decision of the elected council,” according to the joint statement.
