Church Open Daily from 9:30am to 5pm

We are delighted to announce that our beautiful Church of Saint Carthage is open daily between the hours of 9.30am and 5pm.

There is a notice at the entrance that explains the safe practices to be employed by anyone wishing to enter the church for a quiet prayer.

For parishioners who wish to drop in their Church envelopes, call to the Sacristy between 11am and Noon each Friday.

One of Our Own

The death occurred of Mrs. Eileen Savaria last week.

Eileen, the daughter of Josie and Den Sheehan, had been living in the Indian city of Hyderabad for many decades.

In the 1960s, Eileen travelled to London to train as a nurse where she met her husband the Cardiac Surgeon, BG Savaria.

In the early 1970s they returned to his home in Hyderabad where he founded a maternity hospital.

Eileen and BG visited Brosna on many occasions with their son, Erin, joining them too.

Eileen brought her own unique brand of charm to her life in India so very far removed from her upbringing in Kerry.

We send our condolences to her family and friends around the world.
