Brosna GAA Club and Parish News Round-Up

The Great Circle of Life

The notes this week links the many milestone events that join a community together. New births, wedding anniversaries and, sadly, funerals.

It’s a reminder that life is changing all around us at all times.

Let’s make the most of the good times and be there to support our friends and neighbours during the difficult times.

Saying Goodbye

Remembering this week, Tom Horgan of New Jersey, late of Clough.

Tom passed away last week. Our deepest sympathies to his family at this time.

Condolences to Rose

Our condolences to Rose O’Brien on the death of her partner, Paddy Jones.

Paddy, late of Castleisland, was a highly respected fiddle player and music teacher in the Sliabh Luachra style.

He was in great demand at festivals all over Ireland and had played in venues throughout Europe and the USA.

Our thoughts are with you Rose and with Paddy’s family at this time.

Welcome Fiadh Rose

Another grandchild for our Parish.

Congratulations to Marian Shine and Fiachra Keane on the arrival of their little daughter Fiadh Rose. Such a happy event for both the Shine and Keane families.

Golden Wedding Anniversary

Congratulations to John and Lizzie Murphy on their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

No doubt, there will be a clan gathering to celebrate this milestone event once we are safely clear of lock-down.

Many more happy years to you both.
