Beale Prevails over Knocknagoshel in North Kerry Championship

Knocknagoshel and Beale met in the Quarter Final of the North Kerry Championship on Saturday afternoon in Duagh. 

Beale started the brighter and led 0-5 to no score after eight minutes.

A goal by Dylan Curtin and points by Edmond and John Walsh had the sides level by the 28th minute of the half.

Two points late in the half by Cormac Linnane saw Beale lead at half time on a score Beale 0-10 Knocknagoshel 1-5.

A goal immediately after the restart by Conor Toomey extended Beale’s lead to five points but Knocknagoshel had the deficit reduced to two soon after with points by Edmond and Michael Walsh.

A goal by Paul Collins and two points by Cormac Linnane had Beale leading by seven points at the midway point in the half.

A brilliant individual goal by Shane O’Connell and two frees from distance by Edmond Walsh helped reduce the deficit but it was Beale who advanced to the semi finals on a score of Beale 2-14 Knocknagoshel 2-12.

Lotto Draw Goes Back to the Bars

The next draw will be for a jackpot of €10,100 and will be held in O’Connors bar on Saturday, October 3rd.
