Sliabh Luachra Camogie Club’s U-12 team will play Tralee Parnells in the County League B Final in Spa, Killarney on Sunday.
The Kerry U-12B Camogie League has proved to be a great competition for developing clubs.
All the games were at equal levels as all the entrants are developing clubs around the county and the provisional games were hard fought and tight.
Drew With Ballyduff
The Sliabh Luachra Camogie Club team drew with Ballyduff in the first round and lost out to them in the semi final by a single point.
Abbeykillix will now play Ballyduff in the A final. Abbeykillix was established in 2019 and includes the clubs of Abbeydorney, Killflyn and Lixnaw.
“Many of the girls on the other teams will have come from areas where hurling is the main sport and our girls might be at a disadvantage on that score – but they’re no less determined for that,” said Anne Walsh – the founder of the Sliabh Luachra Camogie Club in the Castleisland area.
Playing Well at Present
“We beat Parnells well in the provisional round but they may be a different proposition in the final.
“I really hope we take this title but I’m disappointed we’re not in the A final,” said Ms. Walsh.
