The winner of the Castleisland RFC Split the Bucket draw at Den Joe’s Family Restaurant on Saturday night was John ‘Kerry’ Murphy. John won €705.
John ‘Kerry’ Murphy is from the Ballyegan raised family which moved to the Black Road due to the proximity and increasing activity of the John A Woods quarry outside their backdoor in the late 1970s.
John is the latest of his family to win the Split the Bucket draw. His brother Mossie won it twice and the late Timmy was also a popular winner of €1,213 shortly after its inception in the autumn of 2018.
Draw Moving to Currow
The next draw will take place in McCarthy’s Foodmarket in Currow on the coming Saturday, November 7th at 5.30pm.

The two names pulled for the bonus draw on January 2nd were: Timmy O’Connor – an online player and Nana and Matthew and they join the entrants to date: Martina Browne, Eddie O’Shea, Margaret Jones, online; Joan Riordan, Bernard O’Connor, Denis Leane, online; Carmel King, Juliet O’Regan, Anne Boyle, Sarah Maher, Mary Whelan, Sheila Heery, Joan Roche and John O’Connell.
