Christmas Giving for Fr. Tim

The inspirational Fr. Tim Galvin continues his untiring work in the Sudan working on a new project to build a Secondary school for the children of his community.

As WB Yeats said education is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire.

Let’s all come together to get this fire started.

People wishing to positively change the future of the children in Tim’s parish can see the man himself explaining the need for the fundraiser in a film clip of his life to date.

Donations can be made with a click on the link here: http://asparkfortim.com

All Ireland Glory

Wishing the Kerry Hurlers a successful game this weekend in their All Ireland Final encounter against Antrim in the Joe McDonagh Cup.  All of our hopes rest with you!

Good luck to our neighbours Limerick who are meeting Waterford in the Senior Final in what promises to be a lively encounter.

Saying Goodbye

On Monday Mrs. Eileen Murphy was laid to rest in a parish that she served so unfailingly as a postmistress for many years.

Lots of lovely tributes were made across social media channels with the same words reappearing over and over.  Namely, a lovely lady, kind, gentle, a great neighbour.

As a parish, we remember you with great fondness, Eileen.   We express our deepest sympathies to your husband Michael and your children and grandchildren.

May you rest in Peace.
