Early Years Educator Part Time Post at Scartaglen Childcare Centre

Scartaglen Childcare Centre is currently recruiting an Early Years Educator on a part-time position and relief work basis.  

The requirements are as follows: Minimum Level 5 studying Level 6 would be an advantage; One years experience in childcare desirable; First Aid desirable; Knowledge of síolta and aistear; Good communication skills; Ability to work on own initiative; Garda Vetting will need to be completed and references will be requested.

About Scartaglen Community Pre-School

Scartaglen Community Pre-School was established in September 2001- it started in a pre-fab on the grounds of Scartaglen National School.

As numbers grew the need for a purpose built facility became a reality. In September 2007 the childcare centre began operating from Cnoc na Rún in Scartaglen and it now caters for approximately 70 children from six months to 12 years of age.

Staff Numbers

There are four full-time childcare workers, five part-time childcare workers, a part-time administrator, and a part-time cleaner. The centre has two pre-school sessions, a toddler room, a baby room, and an after-school club.

Open days and hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5:45pm.

Reduced Fees to Parents

“We participate in the ECCE and NCS Schemes which offer reduced fees to parents,” said manager Noreen Keane.
