Photograph Lost – Photograph Found – Who’s in It – Who Owns It?

This is the photograph found by Becky Ellis while out walking by the river near An Ríocht in Castleisland on Thursday. We have been informed that the men are Breahig, Cordal neighbours Jerry Brosnan (left) and Andy O’Leary.

I got a message last evening from a considerate Becky Ellis who found the attached moment in local history and time while strolling along the river walk on Thursday.

“Hi I found this lovely photo today while walking at the riocht – around twelveish,” said Becky.

“I believe it might be special to somebody. Could you help me reunite it if possible.

“I considered leaving it in a shop window but the riocht was closed and wasn’t sure where to leave it. It’s safe with me anyway. Thanks,” and that’s Becky’s message.

She’s right, that photograph on which I’ve done a quick clean-up is certain to be precious to someone out there.

I feel it in my bones that there’s a Cordal connection with it. I’m not going to prejudice anyone’s thoughts on it here and now but I’d swear that the younger man in the photo used to play cards in Brennan’s Bar, fadó, fadó.

If you own it or know someone who does you can send me a text or ring with a place in town where the photograph can be handed in for collection. Thank you Becky!

Even if you don’t own it but if you know the men involved do please let us know who they are.
