The death has occurred of Michael ‘Mick’ O’Connell, Riverside Drive, Castleisland, Co. Kerry and late of Counguilla, Scartaglen.
Peacefully on August 16th 2021, surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the staff at Rathkeevan Nursing Home Clonmel. Beloved husband of the late Maureen.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family: Hugh, Mary, Siobhan, Denis and Anne Marie, sons-in-law David, Joe and Paul, daughters-in-law Noreen and Philomena, his adored fourteen grandchildren, his brother Fr. John in Bray; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Maximum of 50 People
In accordance with current HSE guidelines a private family funeral with a maximum of 50 people will take place for Michael with his Requiem Mass on Thursday morning at 11am in Castleisland Parish Church followed by burial in Kilsarcon Cemetery.

No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimers Association or Irish Cancer Society c/o Tangney’s Undertakers.
Funeral Cortège Route
Please Note: The funeral cortège will depart Tangney’s Funeral Home at 10.30am Thursday morning and travel to the Church and depart the Church at 12 noon and travel up Church Street, Pound Road, Riverside Drive, Tralee Road and back on to Church Street and on to Scartaglen and Kilsarcon Cemetery.
