Applications Invited for Inaugural Patrick O’Keeffe Young Musician Award

The Patrick O’Keeffe Traditional Music Festival is excited to be opening calls for applications for the inaugural ‘Patrick O’Keeffe Young Musician Award.’

Applications are open to all musicians in the 13 to 23 age bracket.

The winner will be chosen by an independent panel of musicians and will be invited to choose a musical hero of theirs.

They will be assigned this person as a tutor, and they will meet up a few times before the October bank holiday weekend festival.

The winner and their musical hero will then perform at the showpiece Sunday night Sliabh Luachra Concert at the festival on the night of 24-10-2021.

Criteria for Entry
Introduce yourself at the beginning of the video, talk about your musical influences.
Submit two sets of tunes, with at least one of the sets to be associated with the Music of Sliabh Luachra.

Parental / Guardian Clearance

Please note that any videos submitted by minors must be submitted by the child’s parent/guardian and the deadline is: September 12th.
