Hitting all the Right Notes

Congrats to Colleen Lanagan who has just graduated from the prestigious UCC with a BA Hons in Music.

Colleen, as part of her degree gave music lessons in Brosna NS.  She would take two buses to travel from Cork to Brosna to complete those Ukulele lessons.

Determination and commitment like that promises a very successful future for Colleen.  Well done.

Sharing The Love

I am collecting donations for the wonderful Adapt House who offer refuge and support to women and children who have to flee their homes due to domestic violence.

For their Christmas Appeal, Adapt House are looking for items like toiletries, clothing for children all ages and women, beauty gift sets for teens and mums, toys, pjs for children of all ages. Pretty much anything that will help give a Christmas to these women and children who are living in temporary accommodations.  I will be in the Square in Brosna on Saturday morning, November 27th between 10am and 11am if you wish to pass anything to me.

Monetary donations can be made direct to Adapt House but I can pass that on too if you wish. Call me on 086 859 6409 if you have any questions.

Thanks for your support for such a worthy cause.

Welcome Baby Fionn

The very cute baby Fionn Michael Finnegan arrived to the Parish about a week ago.

I predict this little bundle of joy is going to be spoiled by his adoring older sisters Chloe and Sarah who are already a great help with him.  Our congratulations to Marie and Pa on their new arrival.

Glam Time in Kate Pats

Just what we all need, a reason to dress up and enjoy a fabulous evening of glamour.

Kate Pat’s is hosting a fashion show on 4th December commencing at 7.30pm.

L&T Accessories and Carraig Donn will be showcasing on the night, with a pop up shop and prizes to be won.

Now what will I wear?

GAA News: Brosna V Duagh

It’s North Kerry season and Brosna opened up the 2021 campaign with a definitive win against Duagh at home on Saturday last.

Brosna dominated the game and regardless of a number of wides finished with 2-12 on the scoreboard.

Duagh put the game up to Brosna in the third quarter, scoring 1-5 in that period alone but the gap was too wide to close.  Full-time: Brosna 2-12.  Duagh 1-9.

Well done to all involved.

Brosna is now in a North Kerry quarter final against Beale that’s taking place in Duagh on Saturday November 27th at 2.30pm.

Get your flags and scarfs out and be there to lend your positive and vocal support. Go Brosna!
