Mary O’Connell won this week’s Castleisland RFC Split the Bucket pot of €1,047 at Hughes Bar in Cordal as last week’s winnner, Margrett Horan collected her cheque for €1,028 from Katie Sugrue of Hughes.
Amazingly, this is Marys fourth time winning the fundraising draw.
Roll-Over Draw of €2,000 on January 1st
As this Saturday is Christmas Day there won’t be a draw ….But the club is planning a big, guaranteed New Year’s €2,000 Roll-Over Draw at Kearney’s Bar on January 1st.
Envelopes and buckets are all over the place in Castleisland and surrounding villages and there is an increasing level of on-line interest now for the draw. On-line entries will be enterd twice for special this draw
Condolences to Sheehy Family
Castleisland Rugby Club members would like express their sincere condolences to the Sheehy and Hickey familes on Joe’s passing.
Joe was a former coach to many of our young, senior players on the present team and his son Joseph is a member of the current senior squad.
Joe’s funeral cortege paused outside the grounds on its way to Cordal this morning as members of the club gathered there to pay their respects. May he rest in peace.
