Condolences: Losses More Poignant at Christmas
Sadly we’ve lost a few people over the holiday season. It’s never easy to lose those we love and it somehow seems even more poignant at Christmas.
Josie McCreesh
The wonderful Josie passed away before Christmas.
She was an incredible woman who spearheaded so many positive initiatives for this parish. A long time supporter of traditional music, she established the Rambling House and was instrumental in saving so much of our parish history. Thank you Josie for all your years of amazing energy and enthusiasm. You will never be forgotten in Brosna. Our sympathies to your family and friends. Rest in Peace.
Michael O’Connor
Mikey Mike Phil, as he was always known, sadly passed away on 29 December.
A consummate family man who loved nothing more than being surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
He bravely endured health setbacks but powered on, an inspiration to us all. We send our sympathies to his family at home and abroad.
Mary O’Connor, nee Daly
We remember Mary formerly of Reacashla who lived in Cartherhayes, Abbeyfeale.
A wonderful mother and grandmother, she will be truly missed by her family and friends. Our deepest sympathies to your family at this very sad time.
Happy New Year Memories in a Jar
Another year begins. Here’s a lovely idea that I came across yesterday. This January start the year with an empty jar.
Each week add a note with a positive thing that happened for you. On New Year’s Eve empty the jar and read about the amazing year you experienced. We are apt to sometimes focus on our setbacks more than our victories, this might be an antidote to that. Have a wonderful 2022 and make it meaningful for you.
