National Finals Beckon for David Lane

Brosna athlete and An Ríocht AC member, David Lane is heading for the national finals in Athlone having qualified earlier this month from the Munster championships.

David Lane of Lavalla stormed home for An Riocht in his U-16 x 60m and 200m races earlier this month in the Munster Championship finals in Nenagh.

He will now be running in the national finals taking place in Athlone next month. Congratulations to you David and very best of luck in your training preparation.

Impressive Sum for GAA Club

Our local GAA club has been awarded the impressive sum of €150,000 as part of the Sports Capital Programme grant allocations.

This was the highest amount allocated to any club in the area and reflects the tireless work undertaken by key individuals in the Club and Parish who put together a compelling application.  These funds will combine with those raised during the recent Car Raffle Fundraiser and will go towards the Clubhouse Redevelopment.  Congratulations to Brosna GAA Chairman John Sheehan and his team who secured this incredible grant.
