Kerry Libraries Celebrate Ireland Reads to Get People Reading

Kerry libraries across the county are celebrating books and reading throughout this week with a special emphasis on this Friday, February 25th.

Libraries across Kerry are celebrating Ireland Reads Day this week with a special emphasis on Friday, February 25th.

To mark this event several online events have been organised with a ‘get people reading’ motive throughout.

Children’s authors, Emma Larkin and Katie O’Donoghue will present online story time sessions, which will be made available each day on the link below.

There will also be story times from library staff also available on the Kerry Library website throughout the week. 

The Very Hungry Caterpillar : There will be an online book and craft event for early learning centres.

There will also be an online competition asking customers who visit the library on Friday 25th to take photos of the stack of books -or book – that they borrow and post it on social media.

There will be prizes of book tokens for the winners.
