Pool Time

Congratulations to Mike Moriarty who was crowned Kerry Pool Champion in July.

The competition saw Brosna’s Timmy Winters go out in the semi final before Mike went on to win against Niall Marshall, the current chairman of the Kerry Pool Association. Well done to both Mike and Timmy on their achievements.

GAA News

Well done to Brosna for a great win against Ballyduff in the first round of the junior premier championship last Wednesday.

Hot on the heels of this game, the team had to regroup to play St. Michael’s/Foilmore on Saturday. Unfortunately, they fell just shy of a draw, losing by a single point in a taut game in Ballinskelligs.

It’s all to play for this coming Sunday, when we complete our final game in the group. Annascaul is coming to Brosna at 2.30pm on 21 August. Do make your way to Páirc na Féile for this very important game. It’s all to play for.

International Athletics

David Lane of Lavalla travelled to Coventry with An Riocht to take part in the International Children’s Games 2022.

This is a fantastic achievement for a young man who, although relatively new to the world of athletics, has already won medals and is now representing Ireland at this prestigious event.
