Yesterday, Friday, September 23rd was another proud day for Loughfouder National School community as the school’s football team became the Cumann na mBunscol Two Teacher District Champions.

At Ballymacelligott GAA Club grounds they were up against Knocknagoshel, Derryquay and Clogher national schools and they won each of their three matches.

They played really well as a team and showed great skill and determination even in the pouring rain.

Great Excitement

There was great excitement as Emer O’Shea presented the district plaque to team captain, Daniel Collins.

It was a well deserved win following weeks of early morning and after school training sessions. Thanks to their coaches Ms. O’Shea, Lar Collins and Gerard Mangan and to all the parents and pupils who came along to support them.

Thanks to the referees and to Ballymac GAA for the use of the pitch. The team go forward now to the county quarter final in a few weeks.
