Last week’s Castleisland RFC Split the Bucket winner Pamela Kinahan collected her winnings of €925 from club player and committee member Kevin Lenihan.
This week’s draw was held at the Kingdom Bar on Saturday night and there was a good crowd present as bar staff member Katie McGaley obliged on behalf of the bar.
An online entry ticket was drawn out for €920 but unfortunately at the live draw and with the crowd and the excitement an error was made when the incorrect name was given and read out and this then led to some confusion for both the actual winner and the named person on the night.
However, to prevent any disappointment Castleisland RFC have confirmed that they will be giving the winning amount of €920 to both Joanne O’Toole and Joanne Buckley at their next draw at the weekend at Castlemeats at 5pm.
“We would like to apologise to both for any confusion caused and thank all our Split the Bucket participants for their support,” said club PRO Brian O’Sullivan.
“We hope that both ladies will enjoy their good luck and winnings as we send our online adjudicator for a eye test,” said Brian.
