An Ríocht Athletic Club congratulates its latest 50/50 club fundraising draw winner, Cordal native, Castleisland resident, Joan Nolan who won €326 at Monday’s draw.
The coming Monday’s draw prize will be over €400 Joe Walsh assured in anticipation of the event which will be held at Centra at 11am on Monday morning.
As you’ll see from the photograph: Brosna Post Master Micheál Murphy was also a recent winner and the club has paid out €5,000 in prizes since the weekly draw was introduced in early August.
The deadline for entries is Saturday evenings and the draws are always made early on Mondays.
Appeal for Support
Now the draw organisers, Joe Walsh and Tom O’Leary are urging people in their area of coverage to support their An Ríocht 50/50 Draw.
The draw came into being in order to complete the resurfacing of the path which skirts the clubhouse and track and takes in the river walk where the River Maine, in its infancy, meets An Sean Abhainn and they head off in harmony towards Castlemaine.
Increasing Levels of Participation
The club caters for increasing levels of participation from youth in sport from hill and valley around here and it needs the support these draws provide.
An Ríocht, in its capacity as guardians of the town park, can claim that it’s improving its outdoor facilities and paths and thereby catering for all ages and levels of mobility.
Envelopes and Boxes Available
All the An Ríocht AC 50/50 Draw equipment, including envelopes and boxes can be found in places like: Castleisland Post Office; Costello’s Shoe Shop; Centra; Walsh Bros. Electrical; An Ríocht AC; Phil Horan’s Shop; Denis Cronin’s; Tom McCarthy’s Central Bar; Fagin’s Bar, Kate Pat’s Bar in Brosna and Circle K in Castleisland.
In fact, Kate Pat’s Bar in Brosna is emerging as the An Riocht AC Lucky House as it has produced four winners since August.
More draw boxes and new venues are being added – and the draws will also be going online soon.
