Padre Pio Devotions on Tuesday Evening, October 18th at 7.30pm.

Maria Ní Mhurchú will deliver the witness on Tuesday night’s devotions on the theme: A Voice of Hope.

October is Mental Health Month and the witness at Castleisland’s monthly Padre Pio Devotions on Tuesday, October 18th will focus on people with mental health issues.

The witness will be delivered by Maria Ní Mhurchú on the theme: A Voice of Hope.

Maria has passed through the dark tunnels of mental health and emerged on the bright side full of hope for the future.

St. Pio’s Monastery

In her journey to recovery, she travelled to St. Pio’s Monastery in San Giovanni where she spent six months searching for a cure!

As part of her impressive C.V. Maria has written three books and has scripted a number of radio and T.V. Documentaries.

Last month’s Padre Pio Devotions was the first in over two years to be held with a full and live congregation and devotees turned out in droves from all over the county.

Devotions Begin at 7:30pm

We heard the Emerald Elvis, Tralee native Mark Leen bare his soul and lay his life’s remarkable story before us.

At the end of the ceremony, long and orderly queues formed as Fr. Mossie Brick conducted blessings with one of Padre Pio’s gloves.

These evenings are well stewarded by local volunteers and the coming Tuesday’s devotions will begin at 7:30pm.
