In Castleisland and its neighbouring villages, Garvey’s SuperValu is known as a business which has never shied away from supporting the locality.

Whether it’s community based initiatives or sporting events, the company has never been behind the door in the levels of support it provides.

Now, Garvey’s, which has been associated with Castleisland since the late 1980s, is standing with the hard pressed and less fortunate in the community it serves.

Awareness, Solidarity and Understanding

This is an act of deep awareness, solidarity and understanding of the crisis people are being plunged into because of the unprecedented, run-away increases in the cost of living.

“We at Garvey’s SuperValu Castleisland want to assure you that we are here for you this Christmas,” said a statement issued at the weekend.

“We understand that Christmas can be a difficult time of the year financially for many people in our local community.

Food Drops Entirely Confidential

“If you are finding it tough to make ends meet and need some help this Christmas please drop us a message and our team can arrange for a simple discretionary food/Christmas package to be dropped to your door. It will be entirely confidential. Please don’t hesitate to ask for help.

Merry Christmas. Garvey’s SuperValu Castleisland.”
