Valiant Performances by Brosna Bs

The Brosna B’s put on a valiant performance at home to Ballyduff B in the Brendan Boyle Final on Sunday.

It was a close run game with the teams level at the halfway point. A key highlight was the penalty save completed majestically by Steve ‘Stevo’ McAuliffe  who went on to play a vital role in blocking some further dangerous goal opportunities.

The biggest difference in the teams on the day was the age profile. Brosna’s more mature squad had excellent tactics but the younger legs of Ballyduff with only one player over 30 in the ranks, proved to be the decider.

Ballyduff won by a slim two point margin. Well done to all involved from Brosna. Wonderful to make a final and great to see so many players extending their careers in such style.
