Stories to Mark the New St Brigid’s Public Holiday – Radio Kerry with Frank Lewis

As we tumble headlong towards the most significant St. Brigid’s Day since it was initiated Frank Lewis will mark the new public holiday with a Radio Kerry Saturday Supplement Special this very morning, January 28th from 9am to 11am.

The programme comes from St. Brigid’s Secondary School in Killarney.

“We’re marking our new Public Holiday ‘Monday February 6th.’ and I’m joined by 140 voices .. 40 of them telling the stories .. lessons … and challenges of St Brigid .. and the hundred strong choir with ‘We Sing a Song to Brigid’ .. as well slides and polkas from a traditional Irish group ..  sean nos and harp solos … what better way to celebrate Brigid .. in advance of her feast day next  Wednesday February 1st,” said the presenter by way of introduction to the programme.
