The Kerry County Council Arts Office is inviting proposals, from professional creative practitioners, venues and festivals, for events for Cruinniú na nÓg 2023.

Cruinniú na nÓg is a national day of creativity for children and young people under 18 which is funded by Creative Ireland. This year it takes place on Saturday, June 10th. As the budget is limited, the arts office is especially seeking proposals which align to the feedback received from the online public consultation.

Free of Charge Events

Children and young people in Kerry would like to see a mix of in-person and online events. In terms of what they like making, drawing and painting, pottery and photography workshops were the highest scoring. In the doing category, dancing, singing, acting and playing an instrument were the most popular, and in the going to category, concerts, films, plays and storytelling were top of the list.

Events must be free of charge and take place between 10am-6pm. Email arts@kerrycoco.ie for an Application form or go to the Cruinniú na nÓg section of the Arts website: arts.kerrycoco.ie

Forms must be returned by 5pm on Tuesday, March 28th.
