Minister Foley Confirms over €400,000 in Funding for Kerry Airport

Minister for Education and Kerry T.D Norma Foley has confirmed an allocation of €419,988 in funding for Kerry Airport under the Regional Airports Programme.

Minister for Education and Kerry T.D Norma Foley confirms the allocation of €419,988 in funding for Kerry Airport under the Regional Airports Programme.

This latest tranche of capital funding will specifically provide for enhanced maintenance work for the runway and green energy generation at Kerry Airport.

Minister Foley said: “I welcome confirmation of this funding from my cabinet colleague Minister Chambers which will provide significant upgrade works for Kerry Airport including remedial runway maintenance, aircraft de-icing vehicles and green energy generation.

“This vital funding will further enhance the services and facilities available at Kerry Airport and will ensure it continues to play a pivotal role in the connectivity of the entire south west region.”
