Meals On Heels

Head to Fr Casey’s Clubhouse on 24 September – 3pm to 6pm for a Tea Dance in aid of the wonderful work by Knocknagoshel Meals on Wheels.

Live music by Stevie Donegan, delicious refreshments and a raffle will add even more to this fun event. Entry only Eur10 for what promises to be a lot of fun. Be there to support a vital local resource!

Vital Viewing

Brosna’s Ian Walsh, through his own company Brenog Media, is developing his reputation as a film maker and editor of note.

Tune in Tuesday, 5 September for the first of four weekly documentaries following the incredible work of the Neo Natal unit at Cork University Hospital.

Born Too Soon goes out on Virgin Media One at 9pm. Well done to Ian who had the complex role of assistant editor of what promises to be highly-emotive true stories. Have the tissues on standby!

The Results

Dear Leaving Cert Students,

It’s been a roller coaster for you. Sitting your exams during a heatwave, waiting all soggy summer long for your results and finally finding out if the wisdom of the CAO / apprenticeship routes will match your expectations.

Please don’t worry if you didn’t get your first or even second choice. There are many roads to your preferred destination.

Sometimes the views are better on the unexpected route. The world is created to reward your efforts.

Just one small step after another is all it takes. You are doing fine. Thank you for your courage and optimism. You are inspirational.

Yours truly, the Universe.
