Memory Lane Museum

The late Kenneth and Margaret Brunt opened their ‘Memory Lane Museum’ in Cordal in 1991 and had been attracting visitor numbers reaching 7,000 per year in the course of its four year existence.

In early March 1995 the Brunts decided to call it a day and they put the gathering of their collecting years up for auction.

The contents included many items associated with, arguably, the world’s first super-group, The Beatles – for whom the Brunts were road and tour managers in the 1960s.

John Lennon’s Glasses

They had a glass eye which belonged to Ringo Starr from the group’s Madame Tussauds waxworks modeling days of the early 1960s. Also on display at the Cordal museum were several pairs of glasses once worn by John Lennon and a tea service he had owned as well as a collection of awards the group had amassed over the years. May God be good to them.
