Tour de Ballyfinnane 2024 Organisers Announce Saturday April 13th as Event Date

Our neighbours back along the River Maine held the official launch of their Tour de Ballyfinnane community fundraiser between showers on Saturday morning.

The ever obliging Brendan Griffin TD was on hand again to help with the launch of the cycle which will hit the roads of the area on Saturday, April 13th .

This will be the ninth year of this vital fundraising cycle in the community.

Creative Bathrooms have stepped in this year as main sponsors and this has been acknowledged with appreciation by spokesperson Sheila Kirwan.

“We have also been very generously sponsored by many businesses throughout Kerry and we would like to thank everyone who has been so generous in supporting our cycle.

“We’re very grateful to The Shanty Bar which hosts our post-cycle party and barbecue every year and there are so many willing hands in the organisation and running of the event.

“The Ballyfinnane Community Hall is due for some structural updates, and any funds raised will go towards modernising various aspects of the building.

Community Inclusivity

“Our first priority is to make the toilets wheelchair accessible, ensuring inclusivity for all members of our community,” according to the community site.
