The Bells are Ringing

Congratulations to Kieron and Louise Browne who recently said I Do.

Similarly many good wishes to Pa Leahy and Marie Finnegan who lately tied the knot. The brides were stunning, the grooms looked classy. The events were a celebration of love and family. We wish you all a happy future as you make the journey of life side by side.

GAA: South West Win for Brosna

Brosna notched up a win against Dromid on Sunday.

Under dazzling blue skies the Brosna crew kept composure and closed out the game. Well done to all involved.

Pick Up Heroes

Well done to the amazing volunteers who went out to pick litter off the roadways around Brosna.

Take a look at all the bags piled up at the hall to remind yourself of the amount of discarded waste that has been dropped from cars.

It seems unbelievable that there are still individuals who dispose of their waste so casually. I know the schools are wonderful at educating students about recycling and proper waste disposal. Let’s hope we can educate this anti social behaviour into extinction.

Thought for The Week

What are you grateful for today? What blessings, small or large, enhance your life.

Friendships, delicious food, a sunny day, a thrilling novel, a day out, a pet, an afternoon snooze, mobility. Always look at what you can still do in life. Think of the vibrant connections you have or may still make. Don’t live in that twilight world of wishing for the past. Wake tomorrow with fresh eyes and look at all of your life, as though for the first time. Work on expanding the elements you love most. Dial down the complaints and limitations. Be wholly present in the act of living. You deserve it and the world wants to see it.
