Sinn Féin officially launched its local election campaign in Kerry earlier this week at an event held in the Rose Hotel in Tralee. Sinn Féín is running thirteen candidates across the six local electoral areas in the county.

Launching their campaign Kerry TD Pa Daly told the audience members if they want change, they will have to vote for it in the council elections, in the EU election and in the general election when it comes.

A Testament to Ambition
“The number of candidates that Sinn Féin is running in the local elections here in Kerry is testament to our ambition to deliver positive change in every area.

“We want councils to deliver for communities on housing, on planning and on delivering better local services,” he said.
“We are determined,” he continued, “to elect the strongest possible team of Sinn Féin councillors to hopefully work with a Sinn Féin led government after the next general election.

Home Building Programme

“Then we will deliver the largest social and affordable home building programme in the history of the state.
And he added: “Voting for Sinn Féin on June 7th is the first step to getting this disastrous government out of office.

“A vote for Sinn Féin in the local elections is a vote for change,” he concluded.
